Historjá

The 24 meter long embroidery "Historjá" was displayed at the prestigious contemporary art exhibition Documenta 14 (Kassel, Germany) in 2017, and led to Britta Marakatt-Labba's international breakthrough. It portrays Sámi history and mythology, and took her four years to complete (2003-2007). The work now resides at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø.
