Britta Marakatt-Labba’s images are miniature worlds created with needle and thread. They depict everyday scenes, political responses, and stories of Sámi culture and history. The majestic nature and the sparkling white snow of the winter landscape are ever-present. In 1978, Britta was involved in founding and actively building the Sami Artists' Group (the Masi Group).
